Search for inner peace and healing brought Lara onto the yogic path. She was looking for a practice that will bring balance and restore her body-mind connection, as well as build inner strength and self love.
Discovery of Ashtanga yoga and the emphasize on the powerful breath-movement connection provided her as a tool to a greater self exploration and journey to the soul. Inspired by the Ashtanga method, Lara soon embarked to Rishikesh in India, where she studied Ashtanga Vinyasa at Tattvaa Yoga Shala with Yogi Kamal Singh, where she completed her 200hr RYT.
She believes that students of all levels can experience full benefits of the yoga asana practice – connect with themselves, go inwards and experience healing and deeper understanding, when yoga is practiced traditionally and where breathe serves as a guide to the exploration of higher states of consciousness. Lara will continue her study of Ashtanga at Mysore, with Sharath Jois at the K.Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute.

My yoga journey started some 7 years ago by attending regular classes in Spain and then in the UK. I quickly became hooked and when the time was right, took the step to join the Hatha yoga teachers training which was conducted by Master Santhosh Kumar, who has worked with the great B.K.S. Iyengar and who also has his own school, ‘Yoga Darshanam’ in Mysore, India.
Originally being from Latvia, the experiences I gained in different countries while doing Yoga has helped me grow as a person, by being more adaptable and open minded. Teaching Yoga to me is a privilege and I enjoy sharing my knowledge and endless benefits of yoga with people.
