Kids Yoga

An excellent after school activity! We will focus on motor skills, co-ordination, breathing, alignment, posture + body awareness, flexibility and strength. By learning about our body parts and making fun animal shapes, we will learn how to breathe properly, and to become calm and relaxed. Concentration and focus are great for the kids school performance and level of happiness.

About the Instructor

Zainab came across yoga by mere chance in 2014, looking to balance out a hectic corporate life. After her first Ashtanga class – Zainab continued to pursue the study and practice of yoga by attending several classes a week. 6 short months later, she committed herself to a daily Ashtanga Mysore style practice and has not looked back since then.
It was during this time that she completed her children’s yoga training at Groovykids. Combining her passion and love for yoga with her fondness of children seemed like the perfect combination. Zainab is a strong advocate of introducing yoga to children and providing them the opportunity to participate and grow in this non-competitive, encouraging and positive environment that yoga creates for the little ones. Zainab’s idea of a wonderful kids yoga class includes fun imaginative stories, creative engaging games – and of course, tons of fun and laughter!

Mother and Daughter Yoga

We encourage you to restore your mind and the mother-daughter bond on February 4 . This is a great way to nurture your relationship, balance your bodies and practice Yoga
Mom & Daughter Yoga sessions are designed to foster mutual respect, positive communication and trust between moms (or any adult female role model) and daughters as we learn Yoga techniques and have a ton of fun! Activities will vary each session. They involve individual warm up, partner Yoga practices, breathwork and other practical and peaceful ideas to practice at home!
No prior Yoga experience is necessary.
Our Yogi, Carla Julian, will take you through Yoga asanas, Pranayama (breathing exercises) and lots of fun strengthening and coordination sequences in a mindful approach. Each pose can be modified for varying levels of flexibility and strength.
