Mysore Style Ashtanga Yoga is considered the safest way for a beginner to learn Ashtanga Yoga, allowing you to take the first steps towards cultivating your own practice.
Unlike other yoga classes, it is not a led class.
Instead, you learn the Ashtanga sequence individually pose by pose at your own pace under the guidance of an experienced teacher.
This course is suitable for beginners as well as students who have taken guided Ashtanga classes/or other types of Yoga class before, but who now wish to develop a self-practice. You will start to memorize the first half of the Ashtanga Primary Series, synchronizing breath and movement.
By the end of the 3-day-course you will have the experience and confidence to continue the practice in a regular Mysore class.
On the 3rd day the course will run along-side the regular Mysore program, meaning there will be students of all levels practicing together in the room.
